RESTON, Va., (April 15, 2004) – NetGain Communications (NetGain), a telecommunications consultancy and master agency that specializes in providing medium and large businesses with superior telecommunications solutions, today announced the appointment of Ray Kriss as director of network engineering. In this capacity, Kriss will oversee the design of all customer telecommunications architectures, including voice and data elements. Further, he will maintain the constantly evolving portfolio of services offered by NetGain – evaluating both new and existing service providers and their solutions.
Kriss brings to NetGain more than 25 years of telecommunications experience delivering converged network solutions in both retail and wholesale environments. Prior to joining NetGain, Kriss held positions of increasing responsibility at Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ), where he performed complex engineering support for Fortune 500 customers across a variety of sectors, including finance/banking and manufacturing. Additionally, Kriss contributed heavily to Verizon’s evolving optical broadband offerings, including next generation Synchronous Optical Network (SONET), optical Ethernet, and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM).
“With a proven track record of innovation and success, Ray understands the value of maintaining a portfolio of best-of-breed solutions and leading edge partners,” said Peter Callowhill, co-founder and chief executive officer, NetGain Communications. “We’re thrilled to expand our management team to include experienced, results-oriented support for this integral component of the NetGain service offering.”
Kriss boasts a broad spectrum of knowledge in voice, data, and packet-based technologies. This broad technical knowledge is complemented by his extensive operational experience, as well as his fluency in the volatile telecommunications regulations. Kriss will leverage this expertise to design total telecommunications solutions for NetGain customers. Further, he will assess the telecommunications services of various service providers – ensuring that the NetGain services portfolio supports customers’ unique and evolving requirements with best value solutions.
“In today’s era of converging communications, designing and maintaining a sound communications infrastructure presents a challenge to an organization of any size,” said Kriss. “I’m excited to join NetGain – a company committed to easing this burden, while brokering best fit solutions, not simply those with the best marketing campaigns.”
