RESTON, Va., June 7, 2004 – NetGain Communications (NetGain), a telecommunications consultancy and master agency that specializes in providing medium and large businesses with superior telecommunications solutions, today announced the signing of its 100th customer, Clyde’s Restaurant Group (Clyde’s). Clyde’s operates 11 restaurants across the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, including Clyde’s of Georgetown, 1789 Restaurant, Old Ebbitt Grill, and Tower Oaks Lodge.
Under the terms of the contract, NetGain will manage the conversion of Clyde’s local and long distance service to a new telecommunications carrier – US LEC (Nasdaq: CLEC). NetGain will facilitate the system transfer, free of charge, for all 185 voice-lines across Clyde’s 11 restaurant locations.
“NetGain worked with us to define our telecommunications requirements and identify lower cost alternatives to our existing voice services,” said Nancy Nesbit, Corporate Controller, Clyde’s Restaurant Group. “NetGain is going to manage the entire conversion, making the transition completely seamless for the restaurants’ staff and customers.”
“When organizations assess the cost-structures of their incumbent service providers, they often find they can take advantage of better technologies and simultaneously reduce their costs,” said Peter Callowhill, co-founder and chief executive officer, NetGain. “We are thrilled at the opportunity to provide Clyde’s with significant cost savings by optimizing their telecommunications infrastructure.”
100th Customer Underscores Company Success
The acquisition of its 100th customer accents an already strong year for NetGain. In April, the organization marked the completion of three consecutive quarters with a positive operating cash flow and is now operating debt free. Founded in January 2002, NetGain’s portfolio spans network and conferencing solutions from more than 50 service providers. Clyde’s joins an already impressive customer base featuring companies and organizations of varying size, including Cardinal Bank, Georgetown University, and the National Right to Work Foundation.
“In today’s economic climate, many telecommunications firms are failing to generate a profit – inhibiting their ability to grow,” said Callowhill. “NetGain is proud of our business successes to date – we look forward to continued growth and provision of cost-effective telecommunications solutions and services to organizations in the Washington, D.C. area.”
