Experienced Telecommunications Professional Supports NetGain’s High Quality of Customer Service

RESTON, VA, February 7, 2006, – NetGain Communications (NetGain), a telecommunications consultancy and master agency that specializes in providing medium and large businesses with superior telecommunications solutions, today announced the promotion of Steve Murphy to vice president of finance and business development. In this role, Murphy will manage the accounting and budgeting functions, as well as develop revenue assurance initiatives and business models. Further, he will develop reporting and analysis tools to better serve NetGain clients.

A member of the NetGain team since the company’s inception in 2003, Murphy previously served as director of business development. Leveraging several years of experience in communications services, Murphy plays an instrumental role in the company’s success. In his previous position, he developed prospective client and partner generation strategies – significantly contributing to the agency’s growth. Prior to joining NetGain, Murphy served as Director of Marketing for Net2000, where he managed the voice, Internet, and data services product lines. Murphy also spent four years at MCI Communications working in areas including brand management, product management and development, regulatory analysis, and business analysis. In this capacity, he launched the nation’s first nationally-advertised directory assistance service and received MCI’s Circle of Excellence award three times during his four year tenure. Murphy has an MBA and is a former Certified Public Accountant.

"Steve is well deserving of this promotion and plays an integral role in NetGain’s management team," said Peter Callowhill, co-founder and chief executive officer, NetGain Communications. "Cultivating new client relationships and providing strategic business initiatives – he is definitely a contributing factor to NetGain’s success."

Murphy’s expertise extends beyond the telecommunications industry. As a former auditor and financial consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co., he has over six years of intensive financial and consulting experience. In his expanded role, Murphy will combine his financial and telecommunications expertise to provide NetGain clients optimal customer service, while ensuring continuous growth for the company.

"It is a privilege to work for a company that’s focused on not only its own growth and development, but also that of its customers," said Murphy. "I’m thrilled to serve NetGain in this expanded capacity and look forward to playing a role in continued success for the organization."
